First full summer

This is the first full summer my two grape plants have had since purchase I had trimmed then back before winter this past season I have on vines this year a single amount maybe 6 to 8 grapes producing on single fruit stock on each plant what am I doing wronge I live in miltonfreewater

It sounds like you may be removing too much of the shoot when pruning. Also excess nitrogen and too much water can result in vigorous vegetation growth at the expense of fruit bud formation.
