Berries from green to dried and black!

Asked June 17, 2019, 6:17 PM EDT

Hi! My two-year-old serviceberry bore fruits last year - I got ONE before the birds did, and it was just delicious. This year, the berries are going from green to dried and blackened without ripening. Any idea what is going on? Thanks!!

I think the flower buds were damaged if nothing else is wrong with your tree or the blossoms weren’t pollinated because of the cold damp weather and bees don’t pollinate in wet weather.
