Brown worms eating the leaves on my grape vines!
Asked June 17, 2019, 5:21 PM EDT
Just noticed small brown worms on the underside of the leaves. Picking them off by hand but what are they and how do I control them.? They are destroying the vine! Thank you, Annie East China MI
Without a picture it is hard to guess. The timing is right for grape flea beetle. The adults are small beetles out early in the season and you are seeing the larvae.
Here is a link to an article. https://www.canr.msu.edu/ipm/diseases/grape_flea_beetle
I attach a picture of the larvae.
A stomach poison such as Sevin should kill them pretty quickly
