Hello,

Yes there are many resources available on this topic. One good place to start is the OSU Forage Website at www.go.osu.edu/Forages. There you can view articles on a variety of topics including these.

Another great resource is the official publication of the American Forage and Grassland Council "Progressive Forage". This magazine is free to forage producers in printed or electronic format. https://www.progressiveforage.com/. You can also use the search function on their website to bring up articles that interest you.

If you have more questions about your specific situation, a great place to go is your county Extension Office. Your county ANR Educator (Amanda Bennett-937-440-3945 or bennett.709@osu.edu) can help field your questions and connect you with the appropriate resources.

The University of New Hampshire Cooperative Extension also has a nice and comprehensive fast sheet about the basics of making hay. It can be accessed here: https://extension.unh.edu/resources/files/resource001171_rep1484.pdf.
