Hello and thank you for contacting us about your walnut tree. From your photo, it appears that your tree has leaf galls. Galls are protective covers that shelter insects. Galls are very common on some species and are usually not harmful to the tree.

It looks like only a few leaves are affected. While this may be unsightly, there is no reason to take any action unless you see other signs or symptoms develop.
