boxwwod bushes with yellowing leaves

Asked June 11, 2019, 4:02 PM EDT

we have three large boxwood bushes located in Calvert county, they are on our property line behind the house and are largely sheltered from winter winds by the next door neighbors home. When we came down to open the house this spring the three bushes appeared to have yellowing leaves. We have been advised to apply Espoma plant tone as a fertilizer, but are also told of a boxwood blight. How can we determine if the bushes are suffering from a blight, or if they simply had wnter leaf damage.

It would be helpful if you attach digital photos to this response so we can take a look.
Leaf yellowing is a very general symptom more indicative of winter damage than boxwood blight. But again difficult to say without photos.
Please see the following information from our website to see what the symptoms of boxwood blight look like.
