First find out why it is turning white. Here are some possibilities:
1. Stress roots. Roots are not functioning normally-new leaves often turn, eventually die.
2. Imbalance fertility. Depending on nutrients, often see older leaves turning white.
3. Sun scalding - overexposure to sun where spot or blotches can occur on the exposed leaves.

Understand the genesis of the problem will help greatly in the success of the action taken to fix the problem.
