Eradicating poisonous mushrooms

Agaricus xanthodermus is a mushroom appeared in my yard in May, puppy nibbled, fixed that resulting severe illness. The mushroom has just now reappeared (June 10th), a 90 degree day .How can get rid of it? Any help appreciated!

The only way to rid yourself of these and other mushrooms is to spray potent chemicals in your yard, but those only last a season and spores of the mushrooms from areas outside of your yard will likely re-invade. Vigilance is your best ally, pick them as soon as you see them. And remember, they won't come up all year long, only when it has been raining and even then not produced continually.

Mushrooms are the fruiting structures of fungi. The mushroom is a reproductive structure which disseminates spores. Most of the year, the fungus is underground, actively breaking down materials which enrich the soil.
