A remodeling company was doing a neighbors bath room and cutting tile near my arb. The tile dust with water ran directly to the arb causing it to turn brown and die. I’m wondering if the chemicals in the tile mixed with water created a toxin strong enough to kill the arb?

You will need to talk to the remodeling company to find out what if anything was used for cutting the tile. But I don’t see a pattern that suggests chemical injury. I think that would affect all the plants ( including the grass) in the path where runoff occurred not just a single arborvitae.
