Is this a rhubarb plant
Asked June 3, 2019, 10:30 AM EDT
We bought a new house last year and now the plants are growing and we have a plant that looks like a rhubarb plant, but I haven't seen one like this. 1. Is it safe to eat? 2. If it is rhubarb, what type? 3
Thank you for the question. This might be a variety of ornamental rhubarb but I can't tell for sure. We don't advise eating any plant without positive identification. Here is a similar image: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Rheum_rhaponticum_A.jpg
