Another friend or foe situation - can you help?

Asked May 29, 2019, 8:05 PM EDT

Two plants that I may have planted or could they be weeds? The yellow flowers might be compass - can you confirm? And the small blue flowers - yank or let them do their thing? No questions weeds are around them. Before I start to yanking, would greatly appreciate your guidance. Thanks!

I believe the yellow flowers are coreopsis and the blue flowers are forget-me-nots. The forget-me-nots are good bedding flowers.

The coreopsis flowers bloom through the summer, are attractive and can be used as cutting flowers. The dead flowers should be cut off to prolong flowering.

Whether you yank or admire depends on whether you enjoy them or not.
