MUSHROOMS IN MY STRAWBERRY RAISED BEDS

Asked May 22, 2019, 1:56 PM EDT

LAST YEAR, NOT MANY ROOMS, THIS YEAR WE CAN REMOVE A 5 GAL BUCKET EVERY 4 DAYS. WE DID NOT ADD ANY SOIL THIS YEAR, ONLY TRIPPLE 16, AND CHICKEN MANURE PELLETS. IS THERE A WAY TO KILL THE ROOMS AND NOT THE STRAWBERRIES? DO WE HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ROOMS TOUCHING THE BERRIES AND US EATING BERRIES RIGHT OUT OF THE GARDEN? THANKS TOM

Well, the image is not good enough to identify the mushrooms that you are seeing in your strawberry bed. I suspect they are feeding off of organic matter in the raised beds. Overall, not to be worried about. Main thing is to not eat the mushrooms until you have them identified. For added precaution, rinse off the strawberries before eating.
I personally have different mushrooms coming up in my garden beds. It has just been a favorable year for them this spring.
