What, if anything should I do to protect newly planted strawberries, tomatoes, herbs, and shade perennials? Thanks much.

Denver County Colorado frost protection

Sorry for the late reply. Hopefully you received advice to protect your new plantings. With the cold and snow that we received, some type of protection was definitely advisable to protect these plants. Options include a frost protection fabric or frost blanket or overturned pots or boxes over the plants; anything that would trap warmer air around plant without coming in contact with the plant. Continue to watch temperatures over the next week and add protection if the temperatures drop into the 30's .
