Insect and disease damage as well as weather can all cause fruit drip. Incomplete pollination is also a common cause of fruit drop. Keep in mind that they’re only partly self-fertile, meaning that to ensure fruiting you’ll need at least two plants for cross pollination within about 50 to 75 feet.
