Volunteer plants ID
Asked May 13, 2019, 2:14 PM EDT
I have a few "volunteers" in my planters: I put new (MiracleGro) soil this year and the seeds may have been in it, just waiting to emerge. I have it in all the planters with new soil! They look to be the same plant that grows quickly (please see pictures attached), but I'd like to know what it is and whether to keep it or pull it :)
Would it be possible to identify it?
We have not been able to identify this. Typically we need to see photos of flowers for identification. Since they are not something you planted, I recommend that you go ahead and pull or dig them out.
Thank you! I went ahead and pulled them out.
Still curious what they were... attaching a couple more pictures (with the roots and other leaves) in case it helps to identify them.
They look like a Humulus species, possibly Japanese hops.
You are welcome.
