Why are my hollyies turning yellow

Asked May 10, 2019, 8:12 PM EDT

All the hollies on my lot are turning yellow including Sky Pencil hollies in a full sun border garden, a Mahonia Grape holly in a wooded area and Hoogendorn Japanese hollies in containers in full sun. Is there something that will remedy this problem?

Mahonia is not a holly, the other two are hollies. That is not enough information to diagnose the problem. It is possible that plants in containers are staying too wet if there isn't proper drainage - that could cause foliage yellowing. I suggest bringing samples of the foliage and the roots to your county office where someone can take a look at the plants.
