invasive? red lily-type flower

A few days ago I submitted a question about this possibly invasive plant growing just off the kayak launch at Duck Park in Alpena. We are so worried that it is a new invasive plant. Presently this red lily-type flower is blooming submerged in about 8-10 inches of water. The blooms themselves (there are 5 of them so far) are about 10-12" in diameter. Help, Please! We don't need another invasive to deal with!

Fear not! This appears to be the leaves of the yellow water lily, just beginning to emerge from their roots on the bottom of your lake.

We are glad you asked, though. Better safe than sorry!
