Poison Hemlock

Asked May 5, 2019, 9:58 PM EDT

I believe I have Poison Hemlock growing on my property. I am attaching two photos. Please tell me the safest way to get rid of it. I really don't want to use herbicides. Some of it is 6 feet tall. I have no idea how it turned up in my yard, except perhaps the seed was in new soil I moved there two years ago. When it first started to grow I thought it was just an attractive fern. But now it's huge and growing in three different places on my one acre. I would appreciate your expert advice. Thankyou. Elaine
