Fruit Trees Care

We purchased and planted 10 fruit trees last year for our small farm. I have purcharsed the Penn State Fruit Tree guide but am confused as to when and what should be sprayed to protect our trees and fruit. Is there a schedule or timeframe for spraying and care for our trees. We have 4 peach, 2 pears and 4 apple trees.

Hi- the Penn State Tree Fruit Production Guide for 2018-2019 is for commercial growers. They have another excellent publication- Fruit Production for the Home Gardener, #AGRS- 099 that is 188 pages and sells for $12.00. That pub has extensive information on the many potential insect pests and diseases of peach, pear, and apple along with detailed spray schedules and recommended pesticides.

We have a 2006 copy of the guide and not the most current version. There may be spray materials listed that are not labelled in MD.
