Attachment in toilet bowl

Hello. A mystery was sparked tonight in one of our online groups. The following V like growths appeared and are growing in a toilet. They are attached to the side of bowl below water line. The are V shaped. Almost look like a growing fly. Fungi? Bug larvae? Thought we’d ask you!

Several kinds of flies are associated with sewers and drains. However, the images aren't sharp enough for us to identify the species shown. We'd need to see sharp photos or even specimens to say more about them.
