What type of sedum

Asked April 18, 2019, 8:07 PM EDT

This plant sits in a pot on my pier year around and comes back each spring. It has been there over 30 years! I think it is a sedum. Do you know the name of it?

There are many different types of Sedums. One very common variety is called 'Autumn Joy'. When your plants are in flower later this season, the flowers can help with identification. https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/all/sedum-autumn-joy/
