Why is my cherry laurel leaves turning yellow and dropping off. I can see anything on the plant. Could a fungus be attacking the roots?

It is normal for broadleaved evergreens to yellow and shed their older foliage in the spring. You may see some fungal leaf spots and this can be common in wet seasons like we had last year. No control is necessary. Rake fallen foliage and monitor for new growth.
