How to get rid of Invasive invasion? Ground cover question

Asked April 13, 2019, 10:55 AM EDT

so I looked around here on ‘answered questions’ and figured out what this is. Now I realize the scale of my problem. It’s really aggressive, and really well dig in. The lawn is particularly difficult, and while I’m happy to be rid of the grass, I really don’t want this stuff around. And suggestions?

Baltimore Maryland weeds invasive

This is a terribly invasive plant called lesser celandine (Ficaria verna). It is very difficult to control and may require a combination of techniques. This can take time. Do not expect management in one season.

See our website and resource links for more information and management options.

This is a tough plant on some of our Maryland native plants so it is worth trying to manage it.
