Transplanting Forsythia and Tulips

Asked April 10, 2019, 10:42 PM EDT

I have several established forsythia bushes that I would like to move. When is the best time to do this? Also, I have tulips that were given to me (in bloom) in a pot. What is the best way to preserve the bulbs and when should they be planted?

The best time to move shrubs is in the fall starting around September-November. For the tulips, let the foliage die back naturally then store them in a cool dry place until fall and plant then. If you have any more questions please feel free to call me at the office.
