Grassy weed poa triv or orchard grass?
Have never seen this come up in the lawn but this year I have some big spots of it in multiple locations. The purple hue on some of the stalks has me confused on what exactly it may be.

This appears to be Poa trivialis which is fast becoming a problematic grass weed. There is no selective herbicide to manage it and is even a challenge for golf course superintendents to control. Please see the following information from our website:
