Please help my identify this plant

Asked April 9, 2019, 3:51 PM EDT

I have this plant that I have tried to eradicate from my flower box. It reproduces by bulbs multiplying like crazy. I recently dug up al of the bulbs and left a few in the ground. The ones in the ground managed to push their way through a then breathable plastic and up through 4in of mulch. How do I stop them from growing or should I just start making money off selling them?

Hello

Those pesky flowers that keep multiplying are called wild onions, Allium canadense, and are quite invasive hence the trouble getting rid of them. Here are some recommendations for control. I don't recommend sharing or selling them as most other gardeners are trying to remove them as well.
