Baby Bluespruce

The tree is about six feet high. Lives in full sun. well draining soil, and with good air circulation. Needles are dead on only one side ( east) of the tree about three feet up. South side of tree is healthy.

It is hard to know what is going on without seeing the damage. Browing can be caused by a number of things such as: winter injury, diseases and insects. Here is a link to a nice publication that shows the various problems we find with spruce.
