Nandina domestica toxicity

You recommend getting rid of nandinas because they are invasive and the berries are harmful to some birds. What if you cut off the berries before they form, will that prevent them from becoming invasive? It will still be an attractive plant. I can’t afford to replace all my nandinas.

Yes you can cut off the berries to prevent spread.
