raised beds

I am about to construct two oblong raised beds. Does it make any difference if they face north and south or east and west?

Thank you for your question. Planting rows north and south may gain a bit less shade between the plants, but a more important concern is thatbyou not plant tall plants on the south. If the pattern is the lowest plants on the south, and the highest plants on the north, they will all get maximum sun. Here is a comprehensive guide: https://catalog.extension.oregonstate.edu/fs270 Good luck!
