Last year I had a problem with my tomatoes along with my zucchini and squash. They would rot before the vegetable was mature enough to pick. Talking with a knowledgeable friend she mentioned blossom end rot. Is there an affordable way to test a sample of my soil to be sure that is what it is?

Attached is a website about blossom end rot, which also may be helpful for you.
