Urea is a granular fertilizer and meant to be applied as a granule, not as a liquid. There are some key advantages to applying this way. Nitrogen availability is spread out over a longer period of time which is valuable for most plants. If you are looking for a nitrogen source that is immediately available to plants, I suggest using a water soluble fertilizer such as Miracle-Gro.
