Wayne County Michigan dutch elm disease

The two articles below provide extensive information about treating elm disease. If left untreated a tree will usually die. There are a number of treatment steps with the first being the removal of dead and weakened limbs. The USDA forestry article provides appropriate and specific steps about the removal.

The cost of an injection can be obtained from a certified arborist. The process is expected to be expensive, complicated, and must be applied at specific times of the year depending on the disease and type of fungicide needed. I've also attached two websites in order to locate an arborist.
