Suggestion for a shady, narrow spot
Hello UMN Gardeners! I live in an area of Minneapolis where the houses are really close together. This spring, I'd like to plant a row of barrier/screen plants between my house and the neighbor's house to the north. It's a tight space, so I'm looking for a shrub, tree, or plant that will be happy growing taller than it is wide and that can handle a fair bit of shade. If it could be a plant or shrub that gets a bit tall—6 feet or so—that would be even better! Then I would get a little privacy on that side of the house, too. Thanks in advance for your help, Laine B.
