What is growing in my yard?
It appears to be bermudagrass. Bermudagrass is still dormant and will not begin to green up until May. It is not easy controlling bermudagrass in a lawn and totally getting rid of it is unrealistic. The best case scenario is suppressing it. However, there are not many herbicides that can be used to selectively treat it. And if you are determined to eradicate it you would need to do total lawn renovation. That means killing all of the grass you have and starting over but this would not be the time of year to do that.
