Crab apple bing cherry
Normally I would have suggested pruning earlier in the year, but with snow on the ground most people chose not to do that. So, now is a good time to prune fruit trees, before they set buds and flower. " Prune when all danger from fall or early winter freeze has passed, but before full bloom in spring. Sweet cherry trees may be pruned in August when there is less danger of bacterial infection." (Training and pruning your home orchard: https://catalog.extension.oregonstate.edu/pnw400/html
Concerning spraying trees the most important period to spray apple trees is from petal drop until just prior to harvest. Use a home orchard spray which contains insecticides and fungicide--this should address the insect damage (maybe codling moth) and scab issues common to apples. If you apply dormant oil this should be done before the plant breaks dormancy-late March or early April.
Here is a very useful publication on pest management for apples that includes lots of pictures and what to look for and treat at different times of the year: http://cru.cahe.wsu.edu/CEPublications/EM101E/EM101E.pdf
You may also want to look at "growing tree fruits and nuts in the home orchard": https://catalog.extension.oregonstate.edu/sites/catalog/files/project/pdf/ec819.pdf
I hope this information is helpful. Let me know if you have more questions.
Thank you Robin I will use your information to hopefully enjoy fruit this year
