mulberry trees

Asked March 8, 2019, 1:45 PM EST

I have mulberry trees on my property. They have a blueish berry. They are older but they seem to produce fruit. I have two questions. 1. I am wondering the most efficient way to harvest them.
2. When do mulberry trees give fruit during the growing season. June, July, or August? Thanks.

Below is some information about mulberries. Note that the info is from California, therefore our harvests will be later here. There are many cultivars of mulberries, therefore harvesting time can vary - they typically begin to ripen here late June or early July and can be harvested into fall. If your plant is too tall to harvest by hand, harvest is often done by shaking branches which causes fruit to fall onto a clean tarp or sheet placed on the ground.
