Western Red Cedars are dying in the Gresham Oregon area

Asked March 6, 2019, 12:22 PM EST

I saw a question on your site about Western Red Cedars dying. I have cedars that are 120yrs old that are dying from the top down. I live in the Johnson creek upper water shed area with plenty of ground water. I see a list was started in June of 2018 and I would like to be included if a study is being done.
Thank you,
Kathy

We would like to add you to our list of sites with western redcedar dying. Your situation is similar to what we are seeing in other areas with mature cedars on moist sites that are dying rapidly. Alarming and still without a clear cause. Could you please correspond with me directly via email with your location and contact information?
