Frost bit hibiscus

Asked February 23, 2019, 11:14 PM EST

3 winters ago, my husband and I moved into our new house. This just happened to be on the coldest day of the year. We transported about 20 various houseplants 10 miles in an uninsulated moving truck. We lost a small umbrella tree due to the cold and thought we were going to lose our hibiscus as it lost ALL of its leaves and we kept on having to trim back dead branches. It ended up bouncing back and now it is once again a big, beautiful, bushy green plant. However, it has never once bloomed again. Before we moved, it would have 2-4 blooms every couple of weeks. Is there anything we can do to get it to bloom again? Hasn’t bloomed in 3 years.
