moss on our deciduous trees

Asked February 22, 2019, 4:58 PM EST

We have three very large deciduous trees in our backyard and there is moss on all of them. Is there something we can spray them with. They are too big to pick it off.

The moss is more of an indication of lack of air circulation and light. It's unlikely the moss is actually causing harm to the tree. You may want to consult with a certified arborist to assess the canopy of your trees. Some amount of pruning can help with light and air circulation that will make it less hospitable for the moss.
