Philodendron Question

Asked February 16, 2019, 5:27 PM EST

My philodendron looks healthy and I only water once every 2 weeks but why are some of the new leaves that are coming up yellow? See photo.

This just looks primarily like typical color and flimsiness of newly unfurled leaves. We would expect them to toughen and green up soon.

Normally they are kind of resting in the winter. You might try giving it more light at the brightest window that you have.

Thanks for your help. But why are most new leaves green and a few like this one yellow?

We viewed your photo again. The plant looks healthy and new foliage under low light and cool conditions may be yellowish in color. Keep an eye on the plant and you can send us additional photos if you notice more symptoms.
