Zinnia Seeds Left Outdoors in Below Zero Weather

Asked February 8, 2019, 7:10 PM EST

I mail ordered a special variety of Zinnia seeds that I can not find locally. But the mail carrier left the package between my screen door and my regular door rather than use the mail box. So I did not find the package ubtil the next morning. My question is: Could my Zinnia seeds have survived 8 to 12 hours outdoors in below zero weather?

Your seeds should be fine. Make sure that you store them in a cool, dry place until time to plant. Seed banks keep their seeds cool or frozen in order to keep them for a long period of time.
