Mealybug infestation?

Asked January 24, 2019, 4:09 PM EST

Hello, I’m wondering if this is something other than mealybugs on my cactus. The pattern seems too regular, but the substance is cottony. The plant looks healthy. Can you help?

This floss is a natural thing that some types of cacti do. They grow fluffy, cottony materials on top.

Thank you! So glad it’s healthy, not infested!
