I have a 110 seat restaurant in Bellaire Michigan. I am trying to find a wholesale commercial source for Rhus typhina, staghorn sumac. All the spice merchants only seem tk have the turkish stuff. I have forged the local stuff and cooked with it. That not a viable commercial option for me however. Any suggestions of known suppliers?
This is an interesting question. I'm not sure offhand but will reach out to others to see if anyone is aware of foragers who gather sumac.
