Nutrient Dense Vegetables
How do you make sure you are growing nutrient dense vegetables? Can you grow them in Peat Moss?

Thank you for your question. A nutrient dense vegetable is one that (1) has all of the 16 elements that plants need to grow and (2) provide them to our diets in adequate amounts to meet our nutritional needs. Think of them as the opposite of “empty calories.” Here is an article on the topic: https://ag.umass.edu/news-events/highlights/growing-nutrient-dense-vegetables Although peat moss is one component of a planting medium for vegetables, you should consider adding other ‘ingredients’ as described here: https://cdn-ext.agnet.tamu.edu/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/EHT-062-vegetable-gardening-in-containers.pdf Hope these are helpful. Good luck!
