With all the rain we've had, I have hordes of tiny black worms -- about an inch long -- all over my front door and windows, as well as on the concrete outside. They are most prevalent on the northern and eastern side of the house. What are they, and is there anything I can do to prevent them from crawling up my doors and windows? Sometimes, they get into the house.

To best help you we would like to see a photo of the insect you are seeing.
If you can take a digital photo or two- up to three, you can attach them directly to this reply by using the "Choose File" tab below.
Worms don't have legs and can't climb houses, but these are perhaps tiny milipedes that are trying to escape all the rain and saturated ground. If you can show both sides that would help.
