Can you help me? The black capped chickadees all of a sudden are pecking on the branches of a large bush. It is near my full bird feeder. Never happened before. why? Thank you If you don't do birds, do you know whom I could ask?

I don't have enough information. What variety is the bush? It could be that there are berries/seeds on the bush. Birds do occasionally seem to peck on branches to clean their beaks. If you watch closely, you will see them actually rub their beaks on the side and cock their heads. They also will take seeds and deposit them on a branch and then peck at them to open the shell.
