New growth curl

Asked December 8, 2018, 2:41 PM EST

I have a house plant that was on the interior with low lighting until I noticed this weird growth. I moved it into a sunny room hoping it would release the curled section. After 1 week. Little results. What caused this?

Thank you for your question. Your plant seems to have several problems. The new unnatural growth is often a sign of an herbicide drifting to the leaves, resulting in abnormal tissue. The browning on the leaves would indicate a water issue: either too much or too little. The plants in the container appear to be pretty tightly packed in, which may mean the roots are unable to absorb enough water and nutrients. Without knowing more, these are all the suggestions we have.
