Oranges?

Asked November 27, 2018, 3:25 PM EST

What we thought may have been a lime tree, appears to be an orange tree. Is it possible to tell what kind so we know if the fruit is edible? How can you tell if the fruit is ripe for picking? They just started changing to an orange color. The skin is also very thick.

Thank you for your question. Sorry for the delay in answering. Our consensus is that this is an Imperial Lemon Lipo, described here: http://www.lubera.co.uk/blog/the-diversity-of-lemon-varieties-comparing-four-different-lemon-varieties If you have not already, taste to see if it ia a lemon. Good luck!
