IPM for apartments

Asked November 20, 2018, 9:05 AM EST

I live in a 500 plus unit apartment building and serve on the Grounds Committee. Our committee would like to implement an IPM program for the landscape plants on our campus. Do you have some models for IPM contract language we could use with the contractors that help to manage lawns, shrubs, trees, and gardens on our campus? Also, could you direct me to some apartment buildings where they have experience with IPM programs?

Our IPM publication points to the most significant factors and considerations when using IPM in the landscape. IPM is based on monitoring and thresholds, for instance, what amount of damage is acceptable before treatment.
This will vary among individuals and clients.
