Ground hog

Asked November 12, 2018, 9:25 AM EST

I have had a ground hog in my yard for several weeks now, making his way through my plants and is now working on the lawn. I am not too concerned about his eating habits but have read that they can damage the foundation of my house. I suspect that he is living under my deck which is close to the ground and inaccessible. Should I be worried? And if the answer is that he has to go what can I use to lure him into a have-a-heart trap?

If you cannot live with the animal, then you will have to consider trapping. See our Nuisance Wildlife Publication and our website for more information.
